Kingston’s LGBTQ+ community is visible year-round, but Pride Month brings everything into sharper focus. The Stockade District, one of the most walkable and historically rich areas in the city, has long been home to inclusive businesses and creative organizations that support queer-owned and queer-allied work. Midtown Kingston’s arts community adds to that visibility through galleries, independent venues, and community groups that stay active throughout the summer.

Hudson Valley Pride Events Across the Region
1. Pride in the Sky
Pride in the Sky kicks off Pride season on Saturday, May 30, from 3 to 10 PM at the Walkway Over the Hudson, one of the region’s most distinctive outdoor landmarks. As evening sets in, the bridge gets lit up in rainbow colors, turning the event into a visual celebration that stretches above the Hudson River.
The event is free to attend, open to all ages, and dogs are welcome, making it an easy outing for just about anyone. Registration is free and available in advance for those who want to secure their spot for the evening.
2. Hudson Valley Pride March Kingston Pride Festival
Kingston Pride brings together the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ community for a full day of celebration on Saturday, June 6, kicking off with a march from the Community Center at noon. The festivities continue through the afternoon with the Kingston Pride Festival at Academy Green from 12 to 5 PM, followed by post-pride gatherings at the Unicorn Bar and other local spots.
For those looking to keep the momentum going, more pride events are scheduled across the region through July, with stops in New Paltz, Poughkeepsie, Woodstock, Newburgh, and Pine Hill.
Keep an eye on the official Kingston Pride schedule through the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center and the city’s events calendar.
3. New Paltz Pride March & Festival
New Paltz, about 30 minutes south of Kingston, hosts its own Pride programming. The New Paltz Pride March & Festival takes place on Sunday, June 7, welcoming marchers on foot or by float alongside vendors and volunteers who want to be part of the day. The march itself draws groups, organizations, businesses, and individuals, with awards given for standout floats at the festival that follows.
It’s an all-ages event that brings together locals, visitors, and allies to celebrate LGBTQ+ visibility and community in New Paltz. Those looking to participate in any capacity (whether marching, selling, or helping behind the scenes) can apply through the New Paltz Pride Coalition’s website.
4. Poughkeepsie Pride 2026
Poughkeepsie Pride 2026 is set for Saturday, June 13, organized by the Dutchess County Pride Center, which has been serving the LGBTQ+ community of greater Dutchess County through advocacy, education, and support since 2018. The event is the centerpiece of the Pride Center’s annual programming, which also includes a regular calendar of community gatherings, meetups, and initiatives throughout the year.
Poughkeepsie Pride draws broad community backing, with sponsors ranging from local health systems and financial institutions to regional media outlets and universities. Those interested in staying connected can sign up for the Pride Center’s email list to get updates on the event and everything leading up to it.

Flamer and Stone Road: Pride-Ready Brands at Domes
Part of celebrating Kingston Pride with intention is choosing what you bring to it. We want to give a shout-out to two brands worth knowing this month.
Flamer is a cannabis brand with real LGBTQ+ visibility and Pride-oriented identity. It’s the kind of brand that belongs in June. Browse what’s currently available on our live menu.
Stone Road brings a premium flower and pre-roll lineup shaped by a lifestyle-forward approach. Their products fit the kind of social summer experiences Kingston does well: relaxed enough for a Saturday at the Kingston Farmers Market, refined enough for an evening in the Stockade District.
Both brands sit alongside our broader pre-roll, flower, and social-friendly selection. Come in, bring your curiosity, and let us help you find what fits.
