Kingston’s Fourth of July celebration takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, on the Kingston Waterfront at TR Gallo Park, with the Breakout Kings performing free on the city stage starting at 6:30 PM, sponsored by Mariner’s Harbor.

Fireworks, courtesy of O’Connor & Partners, launch from a barge in the Rondout Creek just after dark, capping off an evening that also marks America’s 250th anniversary.

Parking is limited, but Ulster County Area Transit runs a free shuttle service with pick-ups starting at 5:00 PM from Kingston Plaza, the Cornell Street parking lot, and multiple stops along Broadway, with the last bus departing the Rondout at 11:30 PM. In the event of severe weather, both the concert and fireworks will move to Sunday, July 5th.

Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum

The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park marks America’s 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026, with a pair of special events as part of the National Archives and Records Administration’s Freedom 250 initiative.

The celebration kicks off at 1:30 PM at the Henry A. Wallace Center, where the Library will serve an “America at 250” birthday cake for visitors. Following the cake, the Library presents a special Fourth of July screening of the 1972 musical film 1776 at 3:00 PM in the Wallace Center, part of the Library’s America250 Film Series highlighting the Revolutionary era.
