We’ve been open 5 months and still haven’t found words to express our love and gratitude for this woman for her part in this adventure. When founder Jennie and her brother were teenagers, they spent countless hours, days, and nights at their best friend @ronmucci ‘s home where @grannydread became like a second mom. The house on Bowen St was a sanctuary for teens where we all saw her raising her two much younger girls with grace and integrity. What a shining light she was for us in the confusion of the 1980’s. Imagine our joy when, just six month ago, the baby of the family, Ms. Shani, came back into our orbit and we were lucky enough to snag her for the position of dispensary GM. When we say it’s a family operation for Jennie and her husband David, we include Shani in that, as well. The reunion just feels destined.
